Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan

Traditional Korean Martial Art

About Lomita Park Soo Bahk Do®

Traditional Martial Arts. Strong Values. A Lifelong Journey.

Lomita Park Soo Bahk Do has provided traditional Korean martial arts instruction to the Lomita community since the early 1980s.

Under the direction of Master Joshua Duncan since 1996, our school continues its commitment to providing quality instruction in the Soo Bahk Do® Moo Duk Kwan® martial art system, founded by Hwang Kee in Korea in 1945.

Our internationally certified instructors emphasize not only effective self-defense skills, but also the development of character, confidence, discipline, and respect.

More Than Self-Defense

Training in Soo Bahk Do is about developing the whole person—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Students learn practical self-defense techniques while developing the awareness, judgment, and confidence to recognize and avoid unnecessary conflict.

Through consistent training, students are encouraged to take personal responsibility for their progress, overcome challenges, and continually strive for improvement.
